Keep the amount, method, request time and reference together. If support says a transfer is complete, ask when it left the casino and which reference the receiving provider can trace. A useful written answer is more valuable than an undated claim that all withdrawals are instant.

Winnings ceiling

£250,000 per casino/live/poker/bingo wager or transaction, with exceptions for progressive jackpots or specifically advertised game/promotion terms. This is not a withdrawal limit.

Unused balance

After 12 months without use, a £5 monthly inactivity fee may follow notice, at least 30 days and attempted return. It stops at zero; login reactivates.

Funding

Use your own payment method. Credit-card funding, including through wallets, is prohibited.

Location

Section 14.2(j) prohibits access from disallowed territories, including disguising location with a VPN.

If the site thinks you are somewhere else

Stop using location-masking services and ask official support to check your actual country, connection and error message. Include the device, browser or app version and whether the problem affects login or only one game. Do not keep trying different country settings to get around the restriction.

If a round was already accepted, keep its ID and timestamp. Avoid repeatedly placing bets to test whether the connection has recovered. A screenshot of a frozen stream and the recorded settlement of a wager answer different questions.

Licence and complaints

The Gambling Commission lists Platinum Gaming Limited, account 45322, with active remote casino licence 045322-R-324275-020. Its domain record lists www.unibet.co.uk as active. This establishes the current British licensing record; it is not a certificate that every aspect of the service is faultless.

The £10m penalty is material to this review

The regulator's decision dated 22 September 2025 imposed a £10m financial penalty, a warning and an additional licence condition. Its review concerned anti-money-laundering and customer-interaction failures between January 2023 and May 2024. The record also says the operator cooperated with the investigation.

The public announcement followed on 22 October 2025 and specified a third-party audit. These are two dates for the same action, not two fines. We have not independently established the outcome of the required audit or treated continued licensing as proof that every issue has been resolved.

There is earlier history too: the Commission's 23 March 2023 announcement attributed a £2,937,599 penalty and warning to Platinum Gaming. The £7.1m combined headline included a separate penalty for 32Red Limited. Assigning the whole combined figure to Unibet would be inaccurate.

What happens to money left in the account?

The contract describes a bank guarantee and medium customer-funds protection. The Commission explains that medium protection provides arrangements for insolvency but does not absolutely guarantee repayment. That distinction matters if you are deciding whether to leave money in any gambling account; a casino balance is not the same thing as a protected savings account.

Deposit limits and net-deposit limits do different jobs

Unibet's safer-gambling page describes daily, weekly and monthly versions of both. A deposit limit caps money paid in during the period. A net-deposit limit takes withdrawals into account, potentially creating room for more deposits. Read which setting you are changing instead of treating the two labels as interchangeable.

It also lists reality checks every 30, 60 or 90 minutes, product blocks, time-outs up to six weeks and self-exclusion options. The time-out description says access returns automatically when it ends; self-exclusion requires contact after the period. A reminder or limit cannot guarantee affordable play.
