Bonuses and welcome offers

No current welcome offer confirmed during the announced move to Betfair. Earn points through eligible play to release the bonus; each game earns points differently.

Qualifying deposit

£20 minimum, by Visa or Mastercard debit. The published code is FIRST500.

Three deadlines

Opt in within 28 days, deposit within 48 hours of opting in, then complete the bonus requirements and all spins within seven days of issue.

Two different point targets

The deposit award requires five redemption points per £1 awarded. Spin winnings, capped at £100, become a separate bonus requiring two points per £1.

A bonus-specific cap

Winnings generated through these bonuses are capped at ten times the bonus amount. That is not a cap on all ordinary cash funds.

A precise-looking turnover calculator would be misleading here: the public earning table is in dollars. We would need the account's actual GBP earning rate and target to give you a defensible pound figure. Until then, the useful calculation is the part of an uncleared package that survives surrender.

Deposits and withdrawals

First check whether your balance is still with PokerStars or has moved to Betfair. PokerStars quotes up to 72 hours for reviewed withdrawals, followed by the payment method's arrival time. Those estimates do not establish Betfair's timings.

Where the public guidance conflicts

The generic cashout page mentions a 24-hour bank submission; the dedicated direct-bank help gives a review within 72 hours. We use the method-specific guidance and do not add both as successive stages.

The generic page also says deposits must be wagered. That is not an appropriate blanket instruction for British readers: UK Gambling Commission guidance prohibits requiring customers to gamble their deposit balance before withdrawing it. Lawful identity, security and payment checks are a separate matter.

Verification: a document decision is not a cashout

The UK help describes electronic identity checks, with documents or a liveness check where needed. It gives an estimate of up to 24 hours to process completed account verification. That does not start or replace a bank-arrival clock.

One useful detail: the address-proof guidance excludes statements from online banks such as Monzo and Revolut. That is a document-acceptance rule, not evidence that those bank accounts are banned as payment methods. Use the exact requested document list, and keep the upload confirmation.

Mobile, support and account controls

The UK iOS casino listing is PokerStars Online Casino Games, app 1150477426. Its publisher previews show search, separate casino categories and a Live Casino tab. They illustrate the PokerStars layout; they do not establish the Betfair app's design or present game availability.

The player sample has useful mobile detail: hughdal describes a better mobile than desktop experience, while Ferd_Duck reports an app popup problem. Neither account is a measured performance test, and the app report dates from July 2025.

When you need help

Use the official website or app's Help route. For a payment issue, keep the request and approval references; for a game interruption, record the title, round ID, time and any error. The account-move tool has a separate message you can adapt for transition questions. We have not timed a human support response.

   The procedure names free ADR through IBAS after deadlock. Follow the current complaint instructions and retain the final response.

Use your own money and method

The UK terms prohibit direct and indirect credit-card funding, including through a wallet.

Dormancy is not a monthly fee claim

After 24 months without login or a transaction, the terms allow dormancy reclassification with notice. Your right to the money remains. After seven years, closure still allows a claim with reasonable proof. Exclusion periods are not counted.

VPNs and location errors

The terms prohibit disguising your location to bypass eligibility rules. If a genuine connection is misidentified, stop location masking and ask support to investigate. Do not spoof another location.

Licence and complaints

The Gambling Commission lists Stars Interactive Limited, account 39108, with active remote casino licence 039108-R-319334-026. Its domain record includes pokerstars.uk and pokerstarscasino.uk. The register's actions page shows no regulatory actions for this business at this check; that is a register observation, not a guarantee of future conduct.

The UK terms name TSG Interactive Plc as the real-money contracting entity under that licence umbrella. Stars Mobile Limited, shown on the app listing, is a different name. Do not infer the legal contract from an app-store publisher alone.

Customer funds: the operator declares high protection

PokerStars describes customer money held in an independently managed trust and declares a high level of insolvency protection. This is the operator's published arrangement, not a bank-deposit guarantee or our audit of the trust. It does not establish Betfair's post-move arrangements.

Before the move: product and stake controls

The published mobile route is Account → Responsible Gaming Settings → Restrict Casino Limit. PokerStars describes separate category limits, a Do Not Play setting and a block for all casino games. Reductions apply immediately; increases or removals wait 24 hours.

The Betfair move: what is known?

PokerStars' announcement on 10 August 2026 said Betfair customers would gain access to PokerStars poker on 13 August. Existing PokerStars UK customers would move later in the year, with direct notice. Those are different milestones. We have not verified a firm date for the casino cutover.

Recheck controls, not just the balance

The FAQ says time-outs and self-exclusion remain. The strictest deposit limit transfers, but loss limits replace stake limits; game restrictions and Casino/Sports exclusions need attention. Ask support to confirm your settings before using the new account.

If you have an active casino promotion, save its terms and ask support how it will be settled during the move. There is no confirmed public rule covering every offer.

If you already have an active Betfair account, the published guidance says to withdraw your PokerStars balance and use that existing account. If you do not want to accept Betfair's terms, contact PokerStars support to withdraw your remaining money.
